Asian actress and former beauty queen Michelle Yeoh (remember Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?) keeps her face fresh and clean by giving it a lemon wash. The acid in lemon cuts natural oil in the face so it is best to use for oily skin. Lemon juice also makes stubborn dirt come off the pores as well. All you need is the juice of two to three lemons, hot water, and two to three tablespoons of honey. Shake all ingredients together in a jug and use as a face rinse. For not-so-oily skin, add more water to make lemon less intense.

Who says olive oil’s best use is in the kitchen? Julia Roberts and other celebrities soak their hands in olive oil to keep the skin soft and the nails from going brittle. Just put a few drops of olive oil in a basin of warm water and soak your hands for at least ten minutes. Another way is to rub olive oil all over your hands and put on gloves to leave overnight. This can also be done with your feet. Just rub a few drops of oil on your feet and massage. Wear cotton socks overnight and you’ll have soft feet and shiny nails the next day.
