Who says olive oil’s best use is in the kitchen? Julia Roberts and other celebrities soak their hands in olive oil to keep the skin soft and the nails from going brittle. Just put a few drops of olive oil in a basin of warm water and soak your hands for at least ten minutes. Another way is to rub olive oil all over your hands and put on gloves to leave overnight. This can also be done with your feet. Just rub a few drops of oil on your feet and massage. Wear cotton socks overnight and you’ll have soft feet and shiny nails the next day.

Apparently, a substance called resveratrol that can be extracted from grapes and it is an antibiotic-like substance that protects the vines from fungus.
