The bootylicious Lopez loves her red carpet curves. ‘I couldn’t ever be a size zero. I have a butt, I have boobs and I have a woman’s curves - there is no way I’d see them go to zero’. She swears by juices to keep her healthy, drinking herb and oatgrass juice every day, and after dinner she drinks a beetroot and carrot or cucumber and celery juice to purify. Another tip from J-Lo is Grapefruit oil, she keeps a phial on her at all times, the aroma is rumoured to stave off hunger pangs and speed up weight loss! Jennifer used to love tough, physical exercise but now she prefers yoga and works out with her personal trainer. ‘What’s more important to me is finding a balance of mind, body and spirit. I still do weights and cardio, but I try to take a feminine approach. I’m definitely not fanatical’. And Jen’s advice? ‘The ultimate beauty secret is to be happy in yourself’.

Terri Hatcher uses wine for her bath to make her skin beautiful. But before you start buying red wine by the crates, all you need to do is save leftover red wine from dinner and pour in to your bath water. Soak in your tub and you have soft skin.
Apparently, a substance called resveratrol that can be extracted from grapes and it is an antibiotic-like substance that protects the vines from fungus. For the human skin though, resveratrol not only makes the skin surface firm but it also improves elasticity. It also stimulates cell multiplication to keep skin young and rejuvenated.

Women can swear that having a moisturized skin is their ultimate goal. They buy different moisturizing products sold in stores just to have that oh-so-perfect skin. But what these women do not know is that, the best moisturizing agents are available in their own homes—yes, in their own homes. Supermodel Cindy Crawford can attest to that.
Her secret weapon? A mixture of milk and water. Yes, she uses these cheap ingredients as her moisturizer. Why settle for something expensive when you can use milk and water instead? She admits that she sprays it on her face to keep it from drying. I say Cindy Crawford knows best!

Stand in front of the mirror. Do you see little lumps around your buttocks and thighs that look like moon craters? Those are cellulites. Men and women have them, but are more common in females. Doctors say that it’s a hormonal issue so some believe that it’s a natural phenomenon. But whatever is the cause of the “orange peel” skin, some home made remedy is just about to remove those.
Caffeine is said to be the most common ingredient of cellulite busters as they have a tightening effect on the body’s blood vessels. However MESSY this procedure is, most models and actresses do it. Get the coffee grounds (used or new) and rub it on your cellulite-laden area. After doing it for a few minutes, wrap your legs in transparent plastic wraps (cling wraps) and let it stand for a few minutes. Be careful though, the scent of coffee can sometimes be unpleasant for one’s nose!

Concealers come in different shades to cater everyone in the market. It is most helpful to those who have dark spots on their faces as it can be applied to cover certain blemishes. People with eye bags surely find this cosmetic helpful since it can also make you look like you’ve never had lack of sleep in your life.
Since a lot of shades are available in the market, keep in mind though that you should buy something that’s a notch lighter (and only a notch lighter! You wouldn’t want to look like you have “owl eyes” don’t you?) than your foundation.

Wait, is that a zit I’m seeing? A new, fresh zit? That will probably ruin your night out with the girls later. Don’t touch it. It might get bigger and inflamed due to the added bacteria from your hands. Jennifer Love Hewitt’s advise on eliminating zits on your face is a home remedy one—meaning, the materials needed for zit busting can be found right inside your cabinet: toothpaste that is.
Toothpaste has chemicals in it that helps the zit dry up. Hewitt claims that she applies the toothpaste on her zit just before she goes to bed. A warning though: don’t put excessive toothpaste on the zit as it might burn it. You wouldn’t want to have dark patches on your face, don’t you?

A little bit envious of those pairs of shiny celebrity legs? There’s a simple trick to it that I’m sure you’ll be able to use with very little cost. Just buy a bottle of baby oil! Put as few as small drops to generous amounts (it depends on how shiny you want it to be) of baby oil on your palms and slick down your legs. Rub gently on skin, until you have made sure that your skin has absorbed most of the oil. Do this before putting your (party) clothes on. We don’t want tell-tale marks showing after all. Try to apply standing up, so as not to ruin furniture with oil marks.

This is a great tip for Asian women or those who have a medium-toned or skin with yellow undertones. Like the previous post, try using foundation that is also yellow-based. There are lots of cosmetics lines that offer such hue in their foundation products. Most celebrity make-up artists simply use color that blends naturally with the skin as opposed to making the skin look pasty and doll-like. What you can do to make sure that you have the right tone of foundation is to test it on your jaw and look at in the mirror under daylight.

Do you remember the celebrity model, Iman? She has this very popular and very good line of cosmetics that is very suitable for women with dark or medium skin tones. The shades of the cosmetics blend subtly with most skin tones as the shades are very realistic (especially the foundation). They also not give a pasty or an unnatural Frankenstein-paleness when applied to skin of a darker tone. Visit their website: ImanBeauty.com for the rest of this amazing cosmetics line!

Asian actress and former beauty queen Michelle Yeoh (remember Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?) keeps her face fresh and clean by giving it a lemon wash. The acid in lemon cuts natural oil in the face so it is best to use for oily skin. Lemon juice also makes stubborn dirt come off the pores as well. All you need is the juice of two to three lemons, hot water, and two to three tablespoons of honey. Shake all ingredients together in a jug and use as a face rinse. For not-so-oily skin, add more water to make lemon less intense.
